Kanayo, Bob Manuel,  Nick Rhys Screenplay: Tunde Babalola Director: Kunle Afolayan October 1 is one movie that was highly anticipated by myself and am sure a whole lot of people. I actually thought the movie was going to be basically about how Nigeria gained her Independence, but the writer proved me wrong. Ouch! I cannot wait to get into the review part *rubbing palms* it’s going to be a joy ride, for the car is set in motion. The movie is going to be thorn into parts for you to know it’s a great, good or… Bad movie. Worth the hype or not! Review: A girl runs through a dark forest scared of something unknown… well I guess that was how … wrote the teaser of October 1, what can I say, but I loved it! I loved the suspense right from the very start of the movie. So at the very start of the movie, a red moon in a dark night, screams are hea...

Inspirational Return of A Star!

Richard Mofe Damijo RMD left the nigerian film industry and when he returned he gained more fans than he had before he left. This is a star indeed

Every actor's dream is to get to the peak of their career, where they are acknowledged and celebrated by all. A lot have gotten to this spot, truly they were celebrated, some, even like gods. But along the line some of these celebrities delved into other things with intentions to return to their film career, but when they returned back to their acting career, the story was different and their hearts broken, because they were not treated with the same level of respect before they left the scene.

In the Industry, when you leave for a year, everyone forgets you. A year might not seem like a long time normally, but it is in the film industry. Now ushering us to our man of the moment, one man seems to have broken the rules.
He is one of the most respected and successful actors in Nollywood, he ruled the screen for several decades, since the days of Checkmate. His career is a very successful one. He is called RMD! I’m sure many would agree. Richard Mofe Damijo alias RMD left the Nigerian Film industry to pursue other things, including a career in politics as a Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Nigeria.

RMD returned back to the Nigerian film industry in 2014, and he was welcomed back with a huge reception. What’s the fuss about? I will explain; those in the entertainment industry know that this is not a normal phenomenon, when you leave and return, to be celebrated the same way you left. If you expect so, *Kole werk*. Looking at actors that left the film industry during the peak of their career, and returned later, didn’t meet things as they left, we all know it was not the same. And that is the usual norm when you leave the film industry.

Richard Mofe Damijo returns to the film industry, not only did he bring the media to his beck and call! But the social media also went wild over him, and his fan-base even tripled! Now, that is amazingly unheard of!

The sky is big but most birds do not want to live their spaces in the sky for fear that someone or others would occupy it… Believe me, there’s a whole line of people waiting to occupy as soon as one leaves. An advice, when you want to go on a leave, please go and see RMD for tips on how to return back. How did he do it? That is a question we cannot wait to ask him?

For more insides on Nollywood filmmaking, stay glued on D’ F you never know what might pop up! *wink*
