Review:
A girl runs through a dark forest scared of something unknown… well I guess that was how … wrote the teaser of October 1, what can I say, but I loved it! I loved the suspense right from the very start of the movie.
So at the very start of the movie, a red moon in a dark night, screams are heard. A girl ran through the forest scared of an unknown thing chasing after her, I said to myself… what is going on here? Is this going to be another… you know, but then she scratched the tree with her nails, now that changed my mind set, because I loved that tree effect and it was also obvious that they paid attention to little details they were in no rush to make wack, and then the way the scene ended it was evident that the makers of the film were no amateur, and that deserves a thumbs up! *You have to see this!*
When Mr. Winterbuttom, the white man was introduced, he found out about something from the file given to him, and then he gave an order to the guard. I do not know if it’s just me, but I expected to see a guard receiving the order and when the camera moved there was no guard, not even his back was seen… *could the guard have been a ghost?* How could Sergeant Afunja perceive the chemical substance that made the Headmaster unconscious by kneeling that far? Even the ones with sensitive sense of smell have to sniff closer… I could not really understand why at some point the cause of death on the murdered victims was identified without showing it to us… well, just saying.

I applaud Sergeant Sunday Afunja, played by Sadiq Baba, he effortlessly translated the role into reality. only but a few, has his kind of acting skills. The young ones should learn from the Fathers. Bisi Olateru, the first identified girl that was murdered, was well played by the actor, taking into consideration she had just one talking scene and the rest was all action, I would say, she delivered.

The fact that when the killer was apprehended he was not shot on the chest *cliché* but he was shot in the neck, that was a good one… you would understand when you watch it. The red moon in the dark night, the first scene, nice! Excellent picture, amazing acting prowess by the actors, they gave a perfect rendition. It is a well written screenplay, by Tunde Babalola, great directing, by Kunle Afolayan, good editing… Excellent cinematography! The transition was amazing. It was a beautiful plot! Indeed my disbelief was suspended! Thank you Kunle Afolayan for this great movie!

This movie is a must see for everyone, if you haven’t seen it yet… you should. Thank me later. The movie is rated 8/10. Not overhyped! I duff my hat!

So I have said my bit… my computer- my hands- my power source- my data. Till next time on more exciting ‘Movie Reviews’ on D’ Filmbox *Laters*
